Opening Our Doors
Saint Mark’s was built to serve!
For over 150 years, Saint Mark’s has served the greater Twin Cities community with lively liturgies, inspiring music to acts of service. Thousands receive nurture, comfort, renewal and nourishment - both spiritually and physically
Our current church opened its doors on September 29, 1910. As our church approaches its 100th birthday, it is beginning to show its age. With that in mind we successfully set about a capital campaign and raised funds to ensure the future of our church by commencing restorations and improvements that will allow us to continue and enhance our service to others.
Thanks to amazing contributions and support, our Opening Our Doors Capital Campaign has not only to meet, but to exceed, its campaign goal of raising $2.8 million. With our capital campaign vision now a reality, as we are commencing the restoration and renovation of our cathedral to address the ministry needs of our community.

Proposals Now Available
On Sunday, July 18th, the cathedral presented three proposals for new parking, access, and landscaping under consideration by our Opening Our Doors (accessibility) Task Force.
Your opinion and ideas on our parking, access, and landscaping are important to us as we work to determine the best path to improving each area and creating a more welcoming cathedral. Please take time to look at the arborists report and the proposals under consideration and share you opinions with us by August 18th.
Contact Georgianna Smith, Task Force Leader from Parking, Access, and Landscaping, with your questions and comments on parking, access, and landscaping proposals.

Masonry Restoration Nears Completion
We could not have done this without you! The preservation work on the outside of our building is almost complete. Take a look at the completed tuck pointing, and say goodbye to the remaining ladders and scaffolding.
Without you and the gifts you gave to the Capital Campaign, this restorative work may not have been possible. Thank you. With these preservation efforts, our 100 year old building will be in shape to take us well into the NEXT 100 years.
