Groveland Food Shelf
We help in the work of organizing the donated food and giving out the food bags to those who come to the pantry. It is housed at Plymouth Congregational Church on Groveland Ave/Nicollet Ave. Our volunteers help on Tuesdays from 9:30am for a few hours. Some also pick up food from designated donors to bring to the pantry.
Simpson Women’s Shelter
We provide the dinner every Tuesday for the 20 or so women at this shelter. We take the meal with us and anyone who has never done it is welcome to go with a "regular" for the first few times. Hours: arrive around 6 - 6:15 pm; serve the meal and leave around 7 pm (the residents do clean up.)
Meals on Wheels
We bring food to those who are house bound on Wednesday mornings working from 11 to 12noon. Each driver takes about 8 meals and co-drivers are welcome. A first timer can go with a "regular."
The Wells Foundation provides financial support to St. Mark's for outreach programs that address hunger and homelessness in the community.
