Opening Our Doors Restoration Projects
Organ Restoration Begins
Many St. Markans think of our Cathedral organ as a beloved old friend that can always be counted on to bring beauty and inspiration to our lives. It is with mixed feelings that we bid adieu to the organ for needed renovation and repairs. We know that the repairs are essential, yet we will miss the glorious sounds of our old friend for the next year.
Here are some pictures that were taken of the disassembly of the organ before it was carefully packed up and shipped to the east coast for the renovation. In the meantime we will be hearing Raymond accompanying the Cathedral Choir on the piano for a few weeks before our replacement organ arrives. Thanks to all who contributed to the Capital campaign so that funds were available for the organ renovation.
