Sunday Mornings
Children in Worship
Children are always welcome in worship. We welcome their sounds and their movements, and the energy they bring! With the light flowing through the stained glass windows, the sounds of the choirs and organ, the touch of a neighbour during the Peace, the taste of the bread and the wine, the worship experience with entice and engage each of the senses! There are worship bags available at each entrance of the nave with activities connected to the Sunday's readings. The worship bulletin may be used for drawings, perhaps drawings that represent a portion of the service. With opportunities that include acolytes, choir, readers, and ushers, children are encouraged to get involved and to be a part of the service.
Nursery
For those youngest among us, we offer a nursery during the services and education hour from 8:30am-12:15 pm. Our nursery is staffed with trained caregivers who offer a safe, caring and welcoming environment for children 3 and younger, and for children up to age 7 during the 11:00 am service. Our nursery is located on the second floor in the education wing.
Sunday School Program
On Sundays (September-May) at 10:00 a.m. our children gather to explore our faith. Information on our 2012-2013 program year will be available in August of 2012.
Children’s Choirs
Music is an integral part of our worship at Saint Mark’s, and a desire to provide an experience of our rich musical tradition to our youth is central to our music ministry program. Children as young as 4 years old are welcomed into a choir, and our choirs are designed to be fun while giving children a chance to develop their musical skills. More information...
