Weekly Small Group Programs at Saint Mark's
CCN Small Group Ministry
Saint Mark’s is a committed part of the Community of the Cross of Nails (CCN). This network is made up of individuals and institutions that share a commitment to a practical vision of reconciliation along with a genuine intention to live a disciplined Christian life. One way that St. Markans live out this commitment is by participating in a small group. Ten groups meet monthly all around the city to share in conversation, prayer, and spiritual formation. To check out some of the topics that shape their discussions, take a look at the study guides. Tuesday Morning Prayer Shawl Ministry
At 10:30 a.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, a group of St. Markans meet in the Cathedral library to knit prayer shawls for those going through difficult times both in our congregation and beyond our walls. We invite you to join in enjoying good company while of this important behind-the-scenes ministry. New people are always welcome. Don't know how to knit? Come, we will teach you.
Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Join us as we take a closer look at the readings for each upcoming Sunday’s worship; led by Cathedral clergy and lay leaders. We meet in each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Small Dining Room on the first floor next to the Fireplace Room. You are welcome to join at any time. We hope to see you there. We also invited you to stay for the Wednesday Eucharist at 11:30 a.m. (immediately following study). [runs September-May]
Wednesday Morning Prayer Group
This group gathers after the 7:00 a.m. worship service in the library for coffee, conversation, and time set aside to share prayer needs. This group commits to continue praying for the needs of those around the table during the week. You are welcome anytime.
Friday Book Club
Each Friday this group gathers at 9:00 a.m. in the library on the 2nd floor to discuss a book. The current book is advertised in the Wrapper (the weekly news), and the group enjoys lively and reflective conversation about the book. You are welcome to join anytime.
