Sunday Mornings

Sunday mornings are the primary gathering time for the congregation. Several hundred people flow through our sacred space for worship, community, and educational opportunities. In addition to our morning services and informal community time during coffee hour, we have a number of classes offered at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays.

Dean’s Forum

Deans.Forum Each week this Sunday morning lecture series engages and challenges the parish on contemporary issues and concerns. Speakers from inside and outside the cathedral share their passion and knowledge and expand our own. The Dean’s Forum meets in the Fontaine Auditorium down the hall from the sanctuary on the second floor.

Sunday Small Group Series

Looking for an opportunity to delve more deeply into a topic in a smaller group setting? We also offer a variety of multi-Sunday classes designed to be more discussion-focused.

Discovery Series

New to the Episcopal Church or simply looking to learn more? In a mixture of lecture and dialogue, the Discovery Series explores everything from what the rituals of our liturgy are about to basics of the Christian faith to what are the unique features of the Episcopal/Anglican tradition. This six Sunday course prepares individuals for Membership, Confirmation, Reception, & Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows - but, there is no obligation or pressure to join the church at the completion of the series.

The Discover Series is offered each Fall and Spring.

Sunday Outreach Opportunities

Looking for a way to support our many outreach ministries on Sunday? Each Sunday Morning people gather in the kitchen to sort donations from Trader Joe’s for use in our Monday Night Supper, Thursday Warm Space, and for donation to Groveland Foodshelf. On the second Sunday of the month, people are bustling in the kitchen getting ready for that evening’s supper. Drop in on a Sunday and join us if you are able.

Want to know more on how to get involved in St. Mark’s?

Just show up: A lot of our small groups and learning opportunities are always welcoming new people. Drop in on an adult formation class on Sunday morning or show up on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for Bible study (Sept.-May). People are sure to warmly greet you.

Sign up: For our Cross of Nails small groups, it is necessary to sign up in advance so that you can be connected to a group that is most fitting for you. Email our CCN leaders, Jim and Sharon get connected with a group.

Outreach: A great way to get to know people at Saint Mark’s is to minister along side them. Each week there are numerous opportunities to be a part of our outreach to those in need. Visit our Outreach page to get to find out more.
